Timothy J. Wicks, 70 of Hopkins, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at the Wings Home in Allegan, surrounded by his family. Born November 18, 1952 in Allegan, Michigan, he was the son of the late Bruce and Donna (Goodman) Wicks and the husband of Anna (Austin) Wicks. He worked at Parker Hannifin for over 20 years, most of those with a perfect attendance record. Tim was known as a hard-working and conscientious employee. Prior to that, he enjoyed working in the family business, Hopkins Elevator, with his father and brother. Traveling abroad or on the lake shores of Michigan, Tim and his family enjoyed the journey, taking time to embrace their surroundings and be a part of nature. Tim was known as an avid reader and also enjoyed hunting. Spending time with his family meant the world to him, with his grandkids being his greatest joy. Sitting on the deck with a cold beer also made for a great day. Tim is already greatly missed by his family and friends.
Along with his wife of over 47 years, Anna, he is survived by his son, Nicholas Wicks (Rebecca Snide); his daughter, Jessica Wicks (Nicholas Donaldson); his brother, Terry (Shelly) Wicks; three grandchildren, Ty Staggs, Hunter Donaldson, and Knox Donaldson; and his many in-laws, Sally (Bert) Blain, Peggy (Bob) Morris; Beverly Hendrixson, Tom Austin, Joan Austin, Alice Oglesbee, John Austin, Carl (Lisa) Austin, Robin Creighton, Esther (Mike) VanLoon, and Dan Austin. Tim also had numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will meet with friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at which time the Memorial Service will begin.
