Theodore H. Hanson, 77 of Allegan, died Monday, July 29, 2002 at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo. Mr. Hanson was born August 25, 1924 in Allegan, MI the son of Carl and Frances (Humphries) Hanson. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the USS Wiley. He graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree and the University of Michigan as a Mechanical Engineer. He worked 34 years at the Danly Machine Corporation in Cicero, IL, retiring in 1988. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy, whom he married on May 21, 1944; 1 daughter, Carlene (Thomas) Niedermeyer of Schaumburg, IL; 3 grandchildren, Robert, Darren, and Allison; 3 stepgrandchildren, Tracy, Debra, and Patrick; 2 step great grandchildren, Shannon and Austin, 1 sister-in-law, Barbara Hanson of Allegan, several nieces and nephews. He as preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert and Francis. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where services will be held Friday 2:00 pm. Pastor Joseph Spackman officiating.
