Taylor Mae Malone, 17, of Hopkins, died on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo after a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis. She was born December 2, 1993 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Sherri Malone. Taylor was in the 11th grade at Hopkins High School. She cherished spending time with her family, she loved her cat, and enjoyed family camping trips. She was a member of Corinth Reformed Church. Taylor is survived by her mom, Sherri Malone and her twin brother, Tyler Malone, both of Hopkins; her grandfather, Richard "Dick" Malone of Hopkins; aunts and uncles, Dawn and Lon Arndt of Hopkins, Danny and Dawn Malone of Hopkins and Julie Malone of Grand Rapids; cousins, Kristi, Ben, Claire, Becki, Kelli, Katelyn and Alexis; and special friend Ardith Turpin and her friend and caregiver "Grandma" Sue. The family will visit with friends on Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 2-4pm at Hopkins Community Reformed Church. Funeral services will follow at 4:00pm. Interment will be Monday at Maplewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Taylor Malone Memorial Fund through any branch of United Bank of Michigan.
