Sharon Heckman Obituary

Sharon Kay Heckman of Allegan, Michigan passed away peacefully on February 14, 2023. Born July 26, 1942, to the late John and Mildred Tyler (Tauner), and the wife of the late William Heckman. Sharon was a true Oak. She lived, worked, and raised her family in Allegan. She loved being an active JC member and involved in the March of Dimes when she was younger. A realtor for 25 years in the Allegan community. After retiring from real estate, she spent many years driving a truck for Teddy’s Transport and driving a bus for Allegan Public Schools. Sharon shocked her family when she started driving and delivering motorhomes with her husband. Before William fell ill, they would travel back and forth around the country, also they would drive big straight trucks.  Sharon loved to travel and has been to every state in the US except for Alaska and Hawaii. Sharon was quite a wonderful and amazing person. She dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren, where they would say she “literally saved their lives in their darkest hours”. Sharon loved leaving little gifts on her kid’s doorsteps, always the most loving, kindest, thoughtful, and sweetest person, who had unconditional love for everyone. Sharon enjoyed her home which she called her paradise, she would enjoy times in the garden with her perennials and especially loved waiting for the beautiful hummingbirds to come back every spring. Sharon loved cooking for her family and loved fruit, especially blueberries. Everyone enjoyed her famous scalloped potatoes, but the one thing she loved most in this world was her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Sharon enjoyed 80 glorious years here on earth, and finally is at peace with her loving husband William and Jesus.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Boyd Heckman and his children Nichole and Bryan; Camie (John) Visuri and son Matthew; Robb Heckman and son Curtis; great-grandchildren, Gage, Sophia, Owen, Madelyne, Tariyn, Chase, Sydney, Hailey, and Tori; and brother, Melvin (Sharon) Tyler.

Along with her husband and parents, Sharon is proceeded in death by her three brothers, Alvin, Johnny, Bob and two sisters, Marrian and Bernice.
