Robert Edward Briggs

Robert E. Briggs, age 89, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 4, 2022. Born in Detroit, Michigan on September 19, 1933 to parents, Frank and Arlene Briggs, who resided in Detroit.

He met the love of is life, Helen Agardy, in high school, knowing she was the one, and married her on July 4, 1953 at the age of nineteen. They were married for 69 years.

He worked at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan for 31 years while raising his family. He retired in 1996. He was a wonderful husband, father, grand and great grandfather. He enjoyed swimming, outdoor activities, riding his motorcycle, and driving his 1965 Ford Fairlane, and especially retirement with Helen. He was a resident of Allegan, Michigan for 25 years.

He is survived by his spouse, Helen Briggs; daughters, Debbie Walker (Gary), Sue Young (Craig), Julie-Ann Zieman (Rick), and Kathy Sova (Dave); seven grandchildren, Becky LaBarre (Steve), Mandi Walker, Bobby Murray (Ashlee), Kimmy Scammahorn (Jeremy), Jimi Murray, Jenn Carter (Kenny), and Autumn Sova (in Heaven); three great-grandchildren, Dawson and Graham Murray and Kasper Carter; one brother; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Robert was cremated per his request. There will be a celebration of his life at a later date. Service Details.
