Phyllis DIANE Hensley, 66 of Plainwell, Michigan (formerly of Fennville, Michigan), passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Ascension Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Born July 3, 1956 in Richmond, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late George and Eula (Dill) Hensley. Diane grew up in Fennville, Michigan with her family and moved to Plainwell, Michigan at the age of seventeen.

From birth, Diane experienced challenges of serious mental and physical disabilities. She faced those challenges with patience, grace and smiles. She loved music! Her absolute favorite, was Elvis Presley! Over the years she enjoyed music by many Elvis impersonators! On Diane’s 50th birthday, even her talented nephew, Kevin Carrico, donned the white Elvis jumpsuit and entertained her and many party attendees!

Surviving are her sisters, Kathryn (Robert) Forche, Cheryl (Paul) Neibarger, and Jillieca Hensley; and many nieces and nephews.

Diane’s family will hold a private Celebration of her Life on Saturday, August 5, 2023.

The family wishes to thank Kathryn Mason and her family for the love and care they gave Diane over the years, her Allegan Community Mental Health family and the many special friends who enhanced her life. We will all be missing Diane while she is dancing with the angels and Elvis.
