Kira Danelle (Knobloch) Hensley, 61 of Hopkins, Michigan, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. Born October 27, 1961 in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Knobloch and Audrey Shann and leaves behind her stepmother, Patricia Knobloch. Kira truly embodied what it meant to put the Lord first in every and any conversation and showed us all how to navigate through the ups and downs of life with faith and grace. Kira was always someone with a listening ear and provided guidance to anyone facing a difficult situation. She gladly answered to her calling as a Christian Counselor and touched the lives of many. Kira's heart was full of love and compassion, and she cherished her five children and adored her twelve beautiful grandchildren. One of Kira's greatest joys in life was exploring antique stores, thrift shops, and taking trips to the charming town of Shipshewana. She was an avid rock collector and loved the Great Lakes. But Kira’s most favorite activity was worshiping the Lord, delving deep into her Bible, and sharing the Good News with others. She truly served as a role model for all of us, reminding us to always keep our faith at the forefront of our lives.
Kira is survived by her five children, Amber (Pat) Craddock, Josh (Emily) Ranney, Kyle (Jenny) Ranney, Seth (Jerrolyn) Ranney, and Ethan Fazer (Morgan McCrum); twelve grandchildren, Caleb, Alayna, Caiden, Skylyn, Keegan, Ian, Ashten, Elsie, Emma, Evie, Josie, and Ethan; five siblings, Daniel (Carrie) Knobloch, Renee (Doug) Swaney, Mark (Kristine) Althouse, Valerie (Bill) Hart, and Jamie Hemenway (Shawn West); as well as many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Christopher Althouse, and Kistov Knobloch.
Friends may meet with the family at Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
