Katherine J. (Davis) Guerrant, 64 of Allegan, Michigan, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Ely Manor in Allegan, Michigan. Born March 19, 1959, in Allegan, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late William and Moria (Harvey) Clark.
Katherine, affectionately known as Kathy by her friends and family, attended Allegan High School. Her strong work ethic and dedicated service in her career were evident in her role as a supervisor at Imperial Carving in Allegan. Yet, her work never overshadowed her commitment to her family and her interest in the simple joys of life. Kathy was a very loving mother and grandmother, always putting her family before anything else. She was known for her love of classic rock, especially Bob Seger, and her enjoyment of bowling and camping. She was often found sitting in the sun, content with her life and the world around her. Her love for the casino was well known to many, as she enjoyed testing her luck on the slot machines. Kathy also had a fascination with all animals, a testament to her gentle and caring nature. Despite her interests, Kathy much preferred to be with her family and friends, and have people around her, rather than be alone. She loved having her home filled with the laughter and love of her family and friends. Her family was her pride and joy, and she loved nothing more than spending time with them.
She is survived by her children, Rinda (Michael) Guerrant and Nathan (Amanda) McKenzie; her grandchildren, Ethan (Kylien) Grauman, Wyatt Guerrant, Logan Lucas, and Brody McKenzie; her great-grandchildren, Aiden Grauman and Rodney Grauman; and her siblings, Elaine Eggleston, Trish (Bruce) Adams, and John (Lylia) Clark. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edward Davis.
Friends may meet with the family at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at which time the Celebration of Life service will begin, Pastor Jim Davis officiating. Memorial donations may be made in Kathy’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601 (https://www.alz.org/).
In her passing, we remember Katherine J. Guerrant as a woman who was always in a good mood, never over the top, just kind and loving. Her life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and gentleness, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love and joy she brought to every life she touched.
