Joan (Lalich) Stefanski

Joan Stefanski, 81 of Allegan, Michigan, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022 at the Wings Home in Allegan, Michigan.  Born April 1, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Niedziela) Lalich and the wife of the late Alvin Joseph Stefanski.

Joan lived in Ferndale, Michigan for many years where she served as Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce.  After retiring to Allegan, she continued to serve as Secretary/Treasurer of Credit Union One.

Joan was an avid traveler.  She also loved to entertain and was a gourmet cook.  Throughout her life, she showed a love of animals.

Joan is survived by her sister, Roseann and David Padowicz; her brother, John and Betty Lalich; her nephew, Joseph Lalich; and niece, Amy Lalich.  Joan also had many friends that helped fill her life with joy and happiness.

Memorial donations may be made in Joan’s name to Wings Home, 530 Linn Street, Allegan, MI 49010.  Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.  The family would like to thank Wings Home for the tender care they provided during Joan’s last days there.  Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
