of Allegan, formerly of Gobles, died Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at the Wings Home in Allegan. Mr. Pifer was born October 31, 1940, in Kalamazoo, the son of Paul and Blanche (Langley) Pifer. Jerry was a Veteran of the United States Army. He attended Western Michigan University, and owned and operated, Doug and Jerry's Corner Store in Gobles, from the early 1970's till the late 1980's. He went to work for Perrigo in Allegan, in 1991 retiring in 2004. Surviving are his 4 children, Michelle Pifer-Berger, Paula and Eric Feuerstein, Jolene and Bruce Manley, Sherry Pifer, 4 grandchildren, Bruce Jr., Meg, Tate, and Max, his brother, Bill and Sue Pifer, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy, and his second wife, Sheila. A memorial service will be held at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Staurday, December 14, 2013, at 11 am. Pastor Greg Carlson will officiate.
