Elizabeth Ann (Overkamp) McPherson

Elizabeth Ann (Overkamp) McPherson of Otsego, Michigan, went to be with her Loving Lord and Savior on May 16, 2023. Elizabeth was born to Danny Overkamp and Martha Garvelink on July 9, 1976, in Holland, Michigan. Elizabeth would meet and date the love of her life Matthew McPherson in High School. They were married after her graduation from Aquinas College where she would attain the status of All-American in Volleyball for her fierce hitting and superb digging abilities. She remained health conscious and would cook foods that brought balance and nutrition to her family.  Elizabeth also led a healthy lifestyle with her daily exercise and work out routines.  Her main focus in life was to honor her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by being a loving wife and also dedicated her life to raising and homeschooling their children as a faithful mother.  She loved hiking in the Smoky Mountains, family vacations, and hanging out with family and friends. Elizabeth loved Jesus, which was evident throughout her life.  She served as a listening ear and wise council for her extended family at Allegan Bible Church.  

Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 25 years, Matthew McPherson; children, Sadie Grace (Logan) Wilson and Alistair McPherson; parents, Danny (Rhonna) Overkamp and Martha (Steve) Garvelink; and brother, Aaron (Diana) Overkamp. 

A Memorial Service will be held this Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 9:00 AM at the Allegan Bible Church, officiated by Jon Gruss.
