age 74, Allegan, MI, passed away peacefully in her home Tuesday, October 23, 2007, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Chicago, IL, on February 17, 1933 to the late Irving Kahn and Louella Werner. Eleanor moved to Miner Lake in Allegan in 1971. She and her husband Joe of 53 years, owned and operated Valley Fruit Farm and later, Pedal Pushers Greenhouses. She loved cooking, canning, gardening and reading. Eleanor was a devoted wife, mother of 6, grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of 15. Eleanor will be greatly missed. Surviving are her husband, Joseph Martin Vondrash; children, Victoria and Larry Montgomery, Lorinda and Terry Emelander, Joseph and Tracy Vondrash Jr., all of Allegan, Patricia and Rick Klingenberg of Hamilton, Robert I. Vondrash of Lombard, IL, and John Vondrash of Allegan; grandchildren, Jack and Amber Emelander, April and Ryan Powers, Marty Montgomery, Mandy Emelander, Melissa and Robert Nabors, Terry Emelander Jr., Zoe Vondrash, Chad Klingenberg, Kelly Klingenberg, Robert L. Vondrash, Amber Vondrash and great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Dr. Stephen and Kristine Kahn of Palos Park, IL and Donald and Betty Werner of Manhattan, IL; many nieces and nephews. Friends may meet with the family frp, 2-4 & 608 p.m. Thursday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Memorial services will be held at Christ Community Church on Friday at 1 p.m. Rev G. Patrick White officiating. Interment Millgrove Cemetery, Valley Twp. Memorials may be made to her husband, Joseph Martin Vondrash.
