Daniel Frank Holmes

Daniel Frank Holmes, 42 of Otsego, Michigan, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Woodlea Cottage in Otsego, Michigan.  Born May 20, 1980 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, he was the son of Scott and Valerie (Funk) Holmes.  Daniel had special needs, but his heart was always full, and he loved to make people smile.  He enjoyed various types of music, listening to the bass and beats of the music. Spending time swimming at the pool or spinning a coke bottle made Daniel happy.  Little things that brought so much joy to his life.  Time with his family would bring the biggest smiles.  Those were special times that Daniel and his family cherished.

Along with his parents, Daniel is survived by his two brothers, Cory (Darci) Holmes and Cade (Danielle) Holmes; his nieces and nephews, Dominick (Sabrina), Briana (Harison), Seth, Donovan, and Dean; one great-niece, Morrigan; and several aunts and uncles.

A graveside service will be held at Miner Cemetery, Watson Township.  The family wishes to thank the staff at Woodlea Cottage for their kindness and care during Daniel’s stay with them.
