Cynthia Lane Obituary

Cynthia E. Lane passed away peacefully and joined our Lord in Heaven, on February 25th, 2023 in Allegan, Michigan, with her 4 children at her side, after a long battle with dementia. She was proceeded in death by her mother Anna; her father Paul; her husband Eugene; her daughter Denise; her son Edward; and her sister Beatrice. She is survived by her brother Richard (Marlene) Chepko; her 4 remaining children, Michelle (Darryl) Pokorny, Thomas (Jennifer) Lane, Linda (Robert) Kaylor and Laura (David) Harrington. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was born in Detroit, MI in 1939 to Anna and Paul Chepko. Cynthia spent her life being a loving, amazing and fun mother with a huge heart, always helping others, even when it was hard to do so. She had the best sense of humor, and genuinely made people happy and laugh. When her husband Eugene passed away unexpectantly at a young age, Cindy was both parents to all of her children. And they are very thankful for her love and protection. No matter how hard life had been, she always had a smile on her face and a fight in her soul. Even thru her fight with cancer, that smile never faded…. That beautiful smile will be missed greatly by so many.

The family would like to extend gratefulness to everyone at Ely Manor and Promedica Hospice for their help and care for our mother Cindy, and for the family as well. Words cannot say how thankful we are to each of you. We also thank all our friends and family who’ve held us in their thoughts and prayers through these difficult days. We will be holding a small prayer visitation for the immediate family. Celebration of life graveside services will be announced at a later date. God Bless.
