Allyson Evans Obituary

DUE TO WIDESPREAD POWER OUTAGES, WE ARE UNABLE TO LIVESTREAM ALLYSON’S FUNERAL SERVICE.  WE APOLOGIZE FOR THIS INCONVENIENCE.

Allyson Elizabeth (Wall) Evans, 20, of Allegan, MI passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, January 7, 2024.  Born into the loving arms of Rodney and Jean (Rial) Wall on August 13, 2003, she was a gift from God from her first breath.  Allyson loved Jesus and gave her life to Christ at the tender age of nine.  When she was a little older, she loved serving in the nursery at Radiant Church.  Allyson graduated from Allegan High School in 2021 where she had been a cheerleader and made many wonderful friends that she shared special memories with.  On October 22, 2023, she married Gunner Evans and became the beloved daughter-in-law of Rob and Shelly (Tobey) Evans.  Allyson loved Gunner and his family, and they were excited to plan their futures together.  She had worked as a receptionist at Rapa Electric, Inc. in Allegan and also loved her role as a homemaker.  Allyson was an incredible cook and baker (she especially loved her crock pot and Pyrex glassware) and was very talented when it came to quilting and crocheting.  Although she excelled at the traditional tasks, she also enjoyed getting out and having fun dirt biking and three-wheeling.  Allyson had an ability to bring people together with her goofy, good sense of humor and warm personality.  She loved her family deeply and made sure to show everyone that she cared.  Even in her passing, Allyson’s legacy of giving continues.  She was a donor with Gift of Life Michigan and through this generous gift, she was able to help more families than they could count.

In addition to her parents, Rodney and Jean Wall; her husband, Gunner Evans; and her parents-in-law, Rob and Shelly Evans; Allyson is survived by her siblings, James (Kelly) Green, Jennifer (James) Boodt and Jessica (Ryan) Henrickson; siblings-in-law, Stone (Danielle) Evans, Cole (Rachel) Evans, Steele (Sadie) Evans and Rose Evans; nieces and nephews, Jayce (Keeghan) Pickett, Brittany Green (Anthony Cherry) Rebecca (Tommy) Sumner, Brooke (Travis) Sumner, Garrett (Kalynn) Boodt, Drake (Amelia) Pickett, Calleigh Pickett, Morgan Green and Bladen Green; great nieces and nephews; Adaline, Nora, Madison, Hudson, Barrett, Seeley and Colt; nieces- and nephews-in-law, Aria Evans, Leon Evans, Kai Evans and Caden Evans; grandparents, Emerson and Loretta Wall; grandparents-in-law, Jim and Mary Ann Evans and Greg  and Debra Tobey; great-grandparents-in-law, Barbara Sanford “Grammy”; aunts and uncles, Bryan (Heather) Wall, Amanda (Marty) Strickfaden, Kimberly (Derek) Pullen; aunt- and uncle-in-law, Phil Tobey, Vanessa Tobey, and Mark (Kim) Emmons; cousins, Hayden, Thomas, Jordyn, Tyyriss, Ashlyyn, Linda and Joey Everetts, Michael (Rachel) Lonsbury, Charles (Tara Ann) Strong, Thomas (Kelsey) Lonsbury, Casey Lonsbury, George Strong, and Julian Strong; many other aunts uncles and cousins; and her faithful canine companion, Oliver, whom she lovingly referred to as “Punky”.  Allyson was preceded in death by her grandparents, Don and Bertha Rial; great-grandparents, Gardie and Elizabeth Wall and Grover and Florence Clawson; aunt, Sherri Miller; and her cousin, Julie Strong.

The family will receive friends at Christ Community Church of Allegan on Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM.  Allyson will be laid to rest privately with her immediate family only in attendance at Hudson Corners Cemetery following the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Evans family or to Radiant Church, 8157 E. DE Avenue, Richland, MI 49083.  Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
