of Gobles, died Sunday, January 5, 2014, at the Allegan General Hospital. Mr. Waterman was born November 29, 1935, in Trowbridge Twp., the son of the late, Leland and Clarice (Burke) Waterman. Bill graduated from Allegan High School in 1954, he served in the National Guard for 8 years, in the communications division. He was a Journeyman Carpenter for over 40 years with Local 547 in Kalamazoo. Bill loved antique cars and tractors, and won many awards with his Co-Op tractor. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent many hours hunting and fishing. Surviving are his 3 daughters, Regina Burroughs and her companion, Gary Hitchcock, Edith Beckers and Orville Funk, and Mary Tooker and John Croskey, 7 grandchildren, Avril, Sheila, Holly, Wyatt, Trevor, Jack, Whitney, 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie, and his 2 sisters, Sally and Wilda. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, January 9, from 6-8 pm, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 am. Pastor Barry Lucas will officiate. Interment at Mallory Cemetery, Trowbridge Twp.
