William "Bill" Clinton Towne, 58, of Allegan, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Mr. Towne was born March 15, 1958 in Allegan, Michigan, the son of the late Clinton and Elizabeth (Hilaski) Towne. During his career, Bill worked for Querbach Leather, Armintrout's Nursery and Allegan Public Schools where he served for 25 years, last holding the position as head custodial at Dawson Elementary School. Bill was a wonderful husband, father and friend to many. He cared greatly for others and will be missed. Bill is survived by his wife, Veronica; two sons: Christopher Towne and Travis and Timi Towne; three granddaughters: Tatum, Audrey and Elliette (Elli); three grandsons: Jacob, Jordan and Noah; two nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, John; and two sisters: Kathleen and Gloria. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 13 at 11:00 AM at Allegan Bible Church (412 Sherman Street, Allegan), Pastor Jon Gruss officiating. Private interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.
