of Allegan, died Saturday, March 7, 2009 at his home. Mr. Owens was born September 16, 1940 in Allegan, the son of Arthur and Ilah (Curtis) Martin. Bill loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, riding the lawn mower and being with his family. He worked for 22 years at Pullman Industries. He was a member of the Chicora Country Chapel. Surviving are his wife, Anna; 3 children, Bobby Owens, Rhonda and Jeff Graves and Lorrie and Scott Scofield all of Allegan; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Rick and Laurrie Hall, Jack Patrick all of Otsego, and Jerry and Nancy Hall of Wayland; 9 sisters, Carol Williams of Mattawan, Helen Berry of Niles, Patsy Wise, Glenda and Larry Hodgeman and Carolyn Boss all of Otsego, Shirley Shue of Wayland, Deanna and Wayne Preston of Comstock Park, Cheryl and Tom Ball of Plainwell and Brenda and Howard Workman of Allegan; several nieces, nephews and cousin. He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon, 3 brothers, Al, Fred and Garlon and 4 sisters, Donna, Kay, Dixie and Dorothy. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where the funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. Pastor Herb Curry from the Chicora Country Chapel will officiate.
