William H. Keene, 87 of Allegan, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 27, 2004 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mr. Keene was born June 11, 1916 in Chicago, IL the son of Herman and Mayme (Menzies) Keene. He served his country in Australia for 3 years during World War II in the U.S. Army. He was a water well driller for 35 years. Surviving are 1 sister and her husband, Hazel and George Pearson of Plainwell; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Edward Keene; and 1 sister, Evelyn Truax. There will be no visitation. A graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday, June 3, 2004 at 2:30 pm at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta. Pastor Robert Cosby officiating.
