of Allegan, died Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at his home. Mr. Heckman was born June 26, 1940, the son of William and Ruth (Hending) Heckman. Bill graduated from Allegan High School, and was a building contractor in the Allegan area for over 50 years. He was on the Allegan Fire Dept., for 28 years, and was a huge NASCAR fan. Surviving are his wife: Sharon; 3 children: Boyd Heckman and Mary Schenk, Camie and John Visuri, and Robb Heckman; 5 grandchildren: Nichole, Matthew, Curtis, Ashley, Jordan; 5 great grandchildren: Madelyn, Tariyn, Chase, Gage, Sophie; his brother: Dan and Mary Jo Heckman; 2 sisters: Sally and Ted McLaughlin, Sandy Farrer; many nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his 2 brothers: Bob and Fred. Friends may meet with the family for food and fellowship on Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 2-5 pm at the Lynx Golf Course. Private interment will take place in Hudson Corners Cemetery, Allegan Twp. Memorials may be made to the Allegan Fire Dept. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
