Obituary

of Allegan, died Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at his home. Bill was born November 10, 1944, in Bay City, Michigan to the late James Sheldon and Phyllis M. (Porter) Drummond. He graduated from Bay City Central High School and was a Veteran of the United States Navy. Bill worked as a Nuclear Analyst for Consumers Energy from 1968-2001 with the majority of this time at the Palisades Nuclear Plant in Covert, Michigan. Bill loved duck hunting with his sons, playing the piano, whistling and was an accomplished woodworker. He was a life member of the NRA, enjoyed spending time at the Fennville Rod and Gun Club and the Allegan Conservation Club. Surviving are his wife Suzanne (Mac Donald) Drummond, his son James Sheldon Drummond III (also a Navy veteran), granddaughter Ashlin Drummond, in-laws Nancy (Mac Donald) and Gerry Williams, Carol (Mac Donald Ratfisch) and Larry Garnaat, niece Kimberley (Ratfisch) and Jeffrey Mohr, and nephew Bernd T. Ratfisch. Bill was preceded in death by his son William Edward Drummond II, his brother James Drummond, 2 sisters Jacquline Kendal and Sheryl Drummond. Per Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be held at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at a later date. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
