William W. Cole, 90 of Allegan, died Sunday morning, September 14, 2003 at his home. Mr. Cole was born September 9, 1913 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Ralph and Ida (Strickfaden) Cole. He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for 62 years and a life member of the Knights of Columbus. Bill worked for Rockwell International for 57 years retiring in 1991. He enjoyed being outdoors and working in his very large garden, and was an avid card player. Surviving are his wife, Leona (Koperski) whom he married on September 1, 1941 in Hilliards; 1 daughter and her boyfriend, Peggy Cole and Vincent Herr of Milwaukee, WI; 1 granddaughter, Lisa Stelloh of Santa Fe, NM; 2 brothers, Keith (Winnie) Cole of Dorr, John "Jack" (Barbara) Cole of Dorr, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Bill in 1988, a daughter, Mary Stelloh in 2003 and a sister, Margaret Coughlin. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where a Rosary will be recited Tuesday 6:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday 11:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Jerome M. Heyman, O.S.A., celebrant. Interment in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Cemetery, Allegan.
