Obituary

of Allegan, died Sunday, June 17, 2012, at his home. Mr. Borgman was born July 17, 1941, in Kalamazoo, the son of Irvin and Helen (Constance) Borgman. Bill was a member of the United Methodist Church in Allegan, and was active on many boards and church activities. He graduated from Vicksburg High School in 1959, and graduated from Western Michigan University in 1965 with his Bachelors Degree. He worked for the FCC for over 30 years, he was the go to guy in Amateur Radio. He was a member of the Kalamazoo Radio Club, helped organize the Allegan Radio Club, he was the Coordinator of the Allegan County Civil Defense, and a member of the Allegan Photo Club. He enjoyed bird watching. While attending Western, he worked 4 different jobs while raising a family and going to school. He also ran his business, Prosoft Plus for over 20 years. Surviving are his wife, Virginia, his son, Timothy J. and Mary Kay Borgman of Allegan, his grandson, Chris, 4 step grandchildren; Zollie, Havilah, Sunshine, and Rainbow, 1 step great grandson, Teva. He was preceded in death by his A½ sister, Marilyn Freeman. Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, June 20, from 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 am at the United Methodist Church in Allegan, Pastor Robert Stover will officiate. Interment Hudson Corners Cemetery, Allegan Twp. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church, or Parkinson's Foundation.
