William D. Ahnen, 71 of Glenn, MI, died Friday, May 10, 2002 at his residence. Mr. Ahnen was born August 7, 1930 in Pontiac, MI the son of Nicholas and Martha (Niemi) Ahnen. He was a 1949 graduate of Pontiac High School and served in the U.S. Army for three years during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Ahnen was a design engineer for Ford Motor Company in Dearborn for over 30 years retiring in 1988. Surviving are his wife Pearl (Stemas), 5 children, Jeffrey & Annette Ahnen of Rochester Hills, Stephen Ahnen of Florida, Lawrence & Heather Ahnen of North Carolina, Stephen & Chelle Kastran of Allegan, Deneen & Curtis White of Texas, 7 grandchildren, Jessica, Drew, Nichole, Matthew, Jeremy, Scott and Samantha, 1 sister, Carol Scharf of Waterford, many cousins.The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, 528 Trowbridge St, Allegan, where funeral services will be held Tuesday 1:00 pm. Fr. James Stathakias officiating. Interment Taylor Cemetery, Ganges Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
