WUIS, Weldon "Bud" Monterey Twp., Allegan, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002 at his home. Mr. Wuis was born Jan. 15, 1919 in Monterey Center, the son of Cornelius and Minnie (Berens) Wuis. Surviving are 6 daughters and their spouses, Evelyn and Albert Green and Patricia and Raymond Warner, all of Allegan, Jane and Roger Simpson and Nancy and Harley Schut, all of Hopkins, Kathleen "Kate" and Milton Johnson of Allegan and Cindy and Tom Walburn of Indiana; 20 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; 2 sisters, Jo Wilson of Allegan and Elsie Strandberg of Grand Rapids; sister-in-law, Jane Haley of New Mexico; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie, 2 sons, John and David, a grandson, Jack, great granddaughter, Emily, and 3 sisters, Rene Avery, Lelah Wynne and Elizabeth Bombard. Friends may meet with the family from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Pastor Kenneth Reeves and Comer Skinner officiating. Interment Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the Monterey Center United Methodist Church.
