of Allegan, went to be with her Lord, on Monday, April 26, 2010 at the Allegan County Medical Care Facility, where she had been a resident for the past 4 years and had received loving care. Mrs. Waigand was born May 1,1925, in Allegan, the daughter of Herman and Letha (Abbott) Grauman. On August 25, 1945, in Allegan, Wanita Grauman married Larry Waigand who survives. Wanita worked hard most of her life, and had many employers including, Fennville Cannery, Armintrout's Grocery, H.L. Friedlen & Co., Harding's Market. Retiring in 1988 from Waremart Grocery in Nampa, Idaho, before returning home to Allegan. She dearly loved her family and friends and enjoyed life. She loved to cook, bake, sew and garden. Also surviving are her 6 children; Sharon and Larry Fales, Dennis and Deb Waigand, Diane and Roy Ellis all of Allegan, Karen and Philo Frost of Allendale, Peggy and Larry Radke of Vicksburg and Wyatt Waigand of Gobles, 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Paul and Charlotte Grauman of Mattawan, Duane Grauman of Allegan, 3 sisters, Patricia Leversee of Rochester Hills, Geraldine Krotz of Hopkins, and Donna and Russ Wells of Nevada, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday from 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1pm with a visitation from 12 noon till service time. Pastor G. Patrick White will officiate. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan. Memorials may be made to the Allegan County Medical Care Facility, Alzheimers Assoc, or the American Diabetes Assoc.
