of Allegan, died Friday, May 11, 2012, at the Allegan Country Estates. Mr. Smith was born August 31, 1923, in Martin Twp., the son of Richard and Vivian Smith. Mike worked for Blood Brothers in Allegan for several years, as well as Waanders Concrete, he was a mason for most of his life. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in WWII. Mike loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing. Surviving are his 5 children; Tom and Connie, Russell and Rose, Mike and Lisa, Barbara Smith, and Pat Smith, 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion, his son, David, and 6 brothers and 4 sisters. Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, May 16, from 6-8 pm, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 am.
