Allegan, MI, died Saturday, August 30, 2003 at the Allegan County Medical Care Facility. Mr. Byron was born January 1, 1913 in Benton Twp., MI, the son of Louis & Carrie (Scofield) Byron. He attended the Trowbridge United Methodist Church and had been employed at Rockwell Int. for 31 years, retiring in 1973. On June 5, 1937, he was united in marriage to Frieda Link, who survives; also surviving are 3 children and their spouses, Darlene & Jim Milbocker, Sharon & Raymond Lamprose and Frank Byron all of Allegan; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 brother & his wife, Edwin & Evelyn Byron of Gobles; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, James, 5 sisters and 1 brother. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Pastor Gary Wales officiating. Interment Lindsley Cemetery, Cheshire Twp. Memorials may be made to the Trowbridge United Methodist Church or Parkinson's Foundation.
