Allegan, MI, died Thursday, December 15, 2005 at Metron of Kalamazoo. Mrs. Felts was born December 4, 1912 in Allegan, the daughter of Willard and Christine (Maxwell) Chandler. She had been employed for 10 years with the Allegan County F.I.A. Surviving are 4 children, Ron Gowens of Kalamazoo, Gloria (Thomas) Younger of Allegan, David Gowens of Allegan, and Karen (Cornell) Spraggins of Alabama; 23 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; 1 brother, Avery (Georgia) Chandler of Tennessee; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ross Gowens and Leo Felts, son, Mike Gowens, brother, Robert Chandler, 2 sisters, Thelma Watson and Bessie VanDyke, and 3 great grandchildren. Friends may meet with the family from 1 p.m. Monday until time of service at 2 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Elder Bruce Ikard officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan.
