of Allegan, died Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at the Dussia House in Otsego, where she received excellent care. Virginia was born September 10, 1920, in Hesperia, the daughter of Rutherford "Rufus" and Ninabelle (Hess) Mahan. After high school she attended beauty school in Muskegon, and then came to work in Allegan as a beautician for over 50 years. Virginia is survived by her son, Daniel and Margaret Bridgeman of Allegan, her daughter, Mary and Walter Frank of South Carolina, 2 grandchildren; Erin and Bryson Davis, and Adam Frank, 1 great grandson Cole Davis, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh in 1993, whom she married in 1942, she was also preceded by 4 sisters and her brother. Cremation has taken place, at her request, there will be no public services. A private graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.
