Allegan, MI, went to be with her Lord, Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002 at Rose Arbor Hospice, Kalamazoo. Mrs. Wise was born Nov. 20, 1912 in Menominee, MI, the daughter of Knut and Olive (Jensen) Knutsen. She was a very active member of the First Baptist Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher and singing in the choir. She had been employed at the Allegan General Hospital as a registered nurse from 1966-1976. Surviving are 2 children and their spouses, Winifred and Carl Abell of Kalamazoo and James and Connie Wise of Richland; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert, in 1989, an infant daughter, Patty, and 1 grandson, Michael McCormick. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 1 p.m. Wednesday until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Pastor James H.
