of Allegan, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at his home. Mr. Santora was born December 9, 1921, in Holland, the son of Dominic Frank and Cornelia (VanDyke) Santora. Vernon was a Veteran of the United States Army, and had worked for Textron in Holland for over 23 years. On October 23, 1942, Vernon married Mildred Gelock, who passed in 1989. Surviving are his 4 children: Adrianne and Nolan Baine, Anthony and Joyce Santora, Vern and Dana Santora, Mark Santora; 7 grandchildren: Angela and Jim Scudder, Christopher Blacklock, Tiffany, Tasha, Jason, Jessica Santora, Laura and Bryan VanderVeen; many great grandchildren. Friends may meet with the family on Saturday, April 18, 2015, from 11 am till service time at 12 noon, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Pastor Marc deWaard, from Haven Reformed Church, in Hamilton, will officiate. Interment will take place at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Twp.
