of Allegan, went to be with her Lord, on Friday, January 2, 2015, at the Wings Home in Allegan. Verna was born in Shabogley, Mississippi, the daughter of Charles and Anna (Shacklefoot) Williams. She was Baptized in Jesus Name, under the leadership of Bishop Charles and Mattie B. Poole, on August 1, 1954. Surviving are her 5 children: Dorothy Banks, Willie C. Brock, Melvin and Rebecca Booker, Michael and Linda Booker, Jacqueline and Robert Ray; and a host of grand, great grand, and great great grandchildren, and 1 great great great grandson, Levi Jackson; her sister: Margaret Williams; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her 2 husbands: Fred Booker and Pinkney Bruce; 7 children; 12 brothers and sisters. Friends may meet with the family on Friday, January, 9, 2015, from 11am till 12 noon at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where Funeral Services will be held from 12noon till 2pm. Pastor Jacqueline Ray will officiate. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan.
