of Allegan, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at the Wings Home in Allegan. Mrs. Blaha was born August 13, 1917 in Trowbridge Twp., the daughter of Elmer and Avis (Calkins) Morgan. Vera graduated from Allegan High School, attended both County Normal and Wheaton College, she then went on to teach at 2 country schools, before raising her family. She was a member of the Bloomingdale Bible Church. Surviving are her 5 children; Jean Blaha of Allegan, Kay and Patrick Thomas of Kalamazoo, Janet and Terry Odell of Gobles, Doris and Rick Bishop, and Dean and Chris Blaha all of Allegan, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Wilma Rouse of Allegan, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and twin infant daughters. Friends may meet with the family on Saturday for 1 hour prior to the service at 1pm, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Pastor Russell Gibbs will officate. Interment Mallory Cemetery, Trowbridge Twp. Memorials may be made to the Wings Home Allegan or the Bloomingdale Bible Church.
