Fennville, died Sunday, May 24, 2009, at the Grace of Douglas Nursing Facility. Mrs. Barnes was born, March 25, 1933 in Allegan, the daughter of Edgar and Gladys (Atkins) Mosher. She retired from the Michigan Fruit Canner after 25 years of service. Valeria loved to play Bingo with her friends and family. Surviving are her children, Doug and Betty Barnes, and Tracy and Bruce Zylstra, all of Fennville, and her step son, Steve and Bev Barnes, of Holland, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Edgar and Betty Mosher, of Holland and 1 sister, JoAnn and Mickey Christman, of Allegan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, and 1 great grandson, Joseph Dalton. Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 2 pm, at the Fennville City Cemetery. Chaplain Peter Winkle will officiate. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
