of Hopkins, died Sunday, September 6, 2009 at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. Mrs. Kisner was born December 2, 1919 in Wetzil County, West Virginia, the daughter of Thurman and Lillian Mae (Sturgeon) Walters. Twila loved to play Skip-Bo with her family and friends, she also was a regular at the senior dinners at the Hopkins Methodist Church. Surviving are her 4 children, David and Sue Kisner of New Mexico, Dr. Jeffrey and Janna Kisner of PA, Danny and Pam Kisner of Hopkins, and Lorri and Mark Batton of Ypsilanti, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted, her grandson Dennis, 7 sisters, Virginia, Doris, Melba, Maxine, Bonnie, Maggie and Jean, 4 brothers, Pete, Blaine, Gurstelle and David. Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, September 9, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, where the funeral will be held on Thursday at 10 am. Mr. Michael Walters will officiate. Interment Maplewood Cemetery, Hopkins Twp. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Allegan County Resource Development Center, ACRDC.
