On December 5, 1978, Connie and Gary Ellis were gifted with a son, Trevor Allen Ellis.  He was a blessing and a bright light to the people that crossed his path and was shown love by so many.  On July 28, 2025, Trevor passed away with family by his side at his home in Allegan, Michigan and took on a new and perfect body.  He enjoyed listening to family members and friends talk, especially the loud and lively voices of children.  He also enjoyed listening and sharing music, taking rides in the car, enjoying Arc activities and volunteering with his caregivers.  He is dearly missed and will always have a special place in the hearts of those who knew him.

Over his 46 years Trevor was blessed with a family and family friends that surrounded him with love, along with special and caring caregivers of many years: Jessie, Linda, Doreen, Michelle and Melissa.  Trevor graduated from the Allegan County Development Center (Hillside) in 2005 where he had wonderful teachers, support staff and bus drivers.

Trevor is survived by his parents, Gary and Connie (Van Syckle) Ellis, sister Heather (Jeffrey) Oram, nieces Cailynn and Ellie Oram, along with several aunts and uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents William and Iva (Smith) Ellis and Duane and Elaine (Knoll) Van Syckle.

Trevor's Celebration of Life will be Saturday, August 2 from 1:00-4:00 at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, 528 Trowbridge Street, Allegan, MI  49010.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Trevor's memory may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice (530 Linn Street, Allegan, MI 49010) and The Arc of Allegan County (219 Hubbard Street, Allegan, MI  49010).
