of Pullman. Beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and uncle passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012. Age 34. He was born July 4, 1977 in Holland. He was married to Velma Jean (Riddle) Valentine on December 3, 1999; she survives him. He is also survived by three children, Shannon Lee (Ryan Raab) Nichols of Allegan, Jamie Lou Lynn (Brian) Bender of Allegan and Tom E. (Kayty Smith) Nichols Jr. of Allegan; his mother, Katherine Lynn Hamstra of Pullman; his grandchildren, Taylor, Sierra, Raydin, Kerah and Sophie; his grandmothers, Bessie Katherine Valentine and Evelyn Amber Hamstra; his grandfather, Kenneth Valentine; his brothers and sisters, Terry (Laucinda) Hamstra of Muskegon; Stephen (Linda) Hamstra of Holland, David (Lori) Hamstra of Mississippi, Timothy (Anna) Nichols II of Holland, April (Joe) Dake of Muskegon and Sandra (Willis) Auxier of Hamilton; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded by his father, Homer Gale Hamstra; and his grandfather, Theodore Hamstra. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2012 at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. There will be no funeral service. Memorials may be made to the family.
