IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Timothy Lee
Arndt
April 10, 1958 – July 28, 2024
Timothy Lee Arndt, aged 66, of Hopkins, Michigan, passed away on July 28, 2024, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, leaving behind a legacy of ingenuity, dedication, and love. Born on April 10, 1958, to proud parents Lavern and Virginia (Knobloch) Arndt, Timothy was a lifelong resident of Michigan and a pillar of his community.
Timothy, known affectionately as Tim to his friends and family, was a man who could always be counted on to lend a helping hand. His work ethic was unmatched, as evidenced by his successful tenure as the owner of Chucks Excavating for two decades. Tim's love for moving dirt and asphalt as a truck driver was more than just a job; it was a passion that he carried with him every day. His hands were rarely clean, always tinkering with something, especially his beloved Simplicity lawn mowers. Tim's creativity and handiness were traits that not only defined his career but also enriched the lives of those around him.
Beyond his professional life, Tim was a lover of classic rock, a genre that often served as the soundtrack to the many moments he spent with his family. His presence was a source of strength and joy, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
Tim is survived by his sons, Tim, Dan, David, and Tyler Arndt, who will carry on his legacy of hard work and innovation; his brother, Lon (Dawn) Arndt, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who will miss their grandfather's warmth and wisdom. His spirit will live on in the stories they tell and the memories they cherish.
Preceded in death by his adoring parents, Lavern and Virginia Arndt; siblings, Lori Arndt, Jamie Arndt, and Tamara Delp, Timothy's reunion with them is a comfort to those he leaves behind, as they imagine them all together once more.
Timothy Lee Arndt will be remembered as a man who could fix anything, a creative soul who saw potential where others saw none, and a loving family man who built a life as sturdy and reliable as the engines he loved to work on. His legacy is not only in the soil he moved or the machines he repaired but in the hearts of those who loved him. His life was a testament to the beauty of simplicity, the value of hard work, and the enduring power of family. Timothy's journey on earth has ended, but his story will be told for generations to come.
