54, of Allegan, passed away Friday, January 17, 2014 at his home. Thomas was born July 7, 1959 in Holland, Michigan, the son of Harvey and Shirley (Long) VanDam. Thomas is survived by his best friend Tonya Roan; his daughter Stefanie Perez; his granddaughter Phoenix VanDam; his siblings: Debra (Dale) Jernigan, Keith (Cynthia) VanDam, Roxanne (Michael Falcon III) VanDam, Kathryn (Jim) Clendening, Jodi (Scott) Meyers, Don (Mari) Schuitema, Ron Schuitema; his step-father Ivan C Mathews; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Harvey VanDam Jr, and his niece Samantha Carr. A graveside memorial service will be held at Brookside Cemetery, Heath Township later this spring. Arrangements are being made by Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
