Thomas Zipp Dunning, 80, passed away at home, on April 10, 2024, in Allegan, MI. Tom was born on May 28, 1943, in Muskegon, MI to the late Robert and Muriel Dunning. Tom's middle name was Zipp, which was his mother's maiden name.

Thomas worked and retired in Allegan and enjoyed woodworking at home. Tom served in the US Army stationed in Germany in the early 1960's. Tom married the former Kathleen Rae Hassinger, and she preceded him in death on September 1, 2016. He also was preceded in death by a twin son Adam Dunning at birth and a grandson Gabryal Schroeder, and his beloved brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Patricia Dunning.

Tom is survived by six children, Abram (Marie) Dunning, Aaron (Jennifer) Dunning, Andy (Tina Gillis) Dunning, Lori (Jeff) Frey, David (Sue) Schroeder, and Marc Schroeder; grandchildren Leeann, Adam, Rowan, Hannah, Bryan, and Chloe; great-grandsons Finn and Maads; three nieces Debbie (Steve) Alcala, Karen Dunning, Sue Dunning and one nephew Thomas (Colleen) Dunning, as well as several cousins and friends.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a Military Honor Service will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 12:00pm in Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Rd, Augusta, MI. 49012.
