Obituary

Allegan, MI, died Wednesday, November 28, 2007 in Allegan. Mr. Andrus was born April 15, 1927, in Allegan, the son of Thomas J. II and Maude M. (Whipple) Andrus. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked for more than 40 years with Tripp Trucking in Allegan, and was a member of the Allegan Elks for 51 years. Tom loved to sing and was often seen at the Elks in Allegan or Otsego singing with the local bands. Surviving are his wife, Jacqueline (Frost) Andrus, whom he married September 5, 1947. Also surviving are 3 sons, Tom and Carol of Shelbyville, Mike and Char of Allegan, and Randy and Luann of Kentwood; 8 grandchildren, Cory and Kay Andrus, Shelly and Todd Roseboom, Heath Maurer, Delora and Andrew Carter, Jeff Andrus, Travis and Angela Andrus, Julie and Patrick Scribner, and Nicole and Jeff Modegill; 6 great grandchildren, Austin, Lexi, Lily, Orion, Olivia and Taylor; 1 brother, James and Della Andrus of Allegan; 2 sisters, Elgie and John Gerry of California, and Alice Meisner of Plainwell; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, Tom, sister, Florence Krcatovich, 3 half-sisters and 1 half-brother. Friends may meet with the family from 4-6 p.m. Friday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, there will be no funeral services or interment at this time. Memorials may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice.
