Trowbridge Twp., Allegan, MI, died Sunday, January 16, 2005 at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo. Mr. Adams was born August 29, 1934 in Kalamazoo, the son of David, Sr. and Aristine (Griffith) Adams. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He lived for his children and grandchildren and his life was about sacrifice for others. Surviving are his wife, Shirley; 15 children, Dixie (M. Carl) Lumbard, Linda Dehollander, Joe Adams, Jerry Adams, Deb Adams, Lora Adams, Jeff (Shelly) Adams, Greg (Lisa) Adams, Amanda Adams, James Adams, Amy Adams, Tabitha Adams, Jodi Adams, Michael Adams, and Dawn Adams; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, David Jr. (Mary) Adams, Walter (Marlene) Adams, Richard (Fran) Adams; 2 sisters, Wilma Rockafellow and Rene (Dale) Sausaman; 1 sister-in-law, Sandy Adams. He was preceded in death by a brother, Albee. There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Merson Church. Pastors Donald Miller and Jim Davis officiating.
