Thelma D. Smith, 83 of Allegan, died Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at Alamo Nursing Home. Mrs. Smith was born August 22, 1920 in Allegan, MI the daughter of Frank and Anna (Conor) Thompson. She was a good mother, who enjoyed raising her family, sewing, baking and canning. Surviving are 6 children and their spouses, J. P. & Susan Smith, Jeanne Smith, Linda & Leroy Tooker all of Allegan, Mary Stoughton of Otsego, Carol & George Hoffman of Plainwell, Dan & Linda Smith of Kalamazoo; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Lawrence Thompson of Allegan; 1 sister, Marion Smith of Allegan. She was preceded in death by her husband Lyle in 1994, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held Monday 11:00 am at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Pastor Joseph Spackman officiating. Interment Miner Cemetery, Watson Township.
