Thelma L. Herpst, 88 of Allegan, died Monday, June 20, 2005 at Metron of Allegan. Mrs. Herpst was born January 8, 1917 in Allegan, MI the daughter of Merritt and Nellie (Stout) Bush. She was a waitress at Ot-Well-Egan Country Club and the Eagles and a member of the Lions Club. She owned and operated Thel-Gor Ceramics and enjoyed making and teaching others Ceramics. Surviving are 4 sons, Gordon & Patricia Herpst of Mexico, Stevan Herpst & Lynne Buckingham of Nevada, Darryl & Shirley Herpst of Allegan, Merritt & Barbara Herpst of Georgia; 6 grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; former husband, George Herpst; 1 half brother, Grant & Shirley Goodsell of Allegan; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Brown and a brother, Merritt Bush. There will be no visitation or service at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association. Arrangements by Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
