Obituary

Tammy was born on February 3rd, 1966, to Wilford and Sandra (Heckman) Farrer of Allegan, Michigan. At the young age of 59, Tammy passed away at home with her mother and brothers by her side. Tammy was a joyous woman to be around, with a contagious laugh, and you could see her smile sparkle within her eyes.

She was preceded in death by her father, and leaves behind her brothers, Andy Farrer and Craig Farrer, her mother, Sandra Farrer, as well as many close aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and family. Tammy was known as "Aunt Tammy" by many of her cousins and close friends' children and grandchildren. Always sending them a card for each and every holiday including a small craft, a dollar and stickers. She adored her "nieces and nephews", always supporting them in sports, celebrations and life, and these children will miss her dearly.

Tammy spent almost 30 years working at McPherson's Plastics in Otsego, building many friendships that became family along the way. When she wasn't working, she was taking day trips to different places with her mom and brothers. Growing up, she spent countless weeks with her family and friends camping and taking vacations. With a wonderfully close family dynamic, Tammy's absence will be noticed, and her beautiful presence will be missed immensely. She enjoyed spending time doing cross stitch, crocheting and she loved to bake all the desserts, and a favorite dish of her family's being her cheesy potatoes.

Over the years, she loved to collect Old World Christmas Santas, and Hallmark Christmas decorations. She had a special bond with her cousin, Rosemary (McLaughlin) McKenney and two dear friends, Kim (Jones), Hinga and Janice (Jones) Nash, who were there for her, every step of life's journey. From childhood to the very end, these four spent countless vacations and weekends and endured all of the easy and hard aspects of life together. This bond cultivated a sisterhood among them that very few people get to experience. Tammy loved and appreciated their relationships and was able to get through it all with them by her side.

Donations in Tammy's memory may be made to the Melanoma Research Foundation or Wings of Hope Hospice.
