Susan K. Collier, 56 of Monterey Twp., Allegan, MI, died Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at her home. Sue was born August 16, 1947 in Grand Rapids, MI, the daughter of Duane and MaryLou (VanHill) Ewing. She was a graduate of Allegan High School, Class of 1965. She was a member of the South Monterey United Methodist Church, had served as a Sunday School teacher and had volunteered as a hairdresser at the Allegan County Medical Care Facility for 30 years. She was a member of the Iron Bridge Quilt Club and the Hopkins Garden Club. She was loved by all who knew her. Surviving are her husband, Earl; 5 sons, Paul (Pauline) of Allegan, Todd (Karen) of Saugatuck, Kevin (Kathy), Matt (Shobion), and Jeff, all of Allegan; 9 grandchildren; parents, Duane and MaryLou Ewing of Hopkins; 2 brothers, Steve Ewing of Hopkins and Byron (Joann) Ewing of Allegan; 1 sister, Colleen (Fred) Banks of Allegan; several nieces and nephews. Friends may meet with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Pastor Reva Daniel officiating. Interment Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Twp. Contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice or the South Monterey United Methodist Church.
