Allegan, MI, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002. Mr. Ross was born September 1, 1946 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, the son of Richard & Claudia (Edwards) Ross. Steve was a graduate of Allegan High School Class of 1964, Ferris State University and Michigan State University. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Steve worked as a greens keeper for Ot-Well-Egan County Club for many years and was currently employed as a United States Postman in Otsego for the past 20 years. He was very involved in his community, and was always willing to lend a hand for a good cause, some of those were, Wings of Hope Hospice, ACRDC, Allegan General Hospital, Ducks Unlimited, over 18 years with the Allegan Cabaret, Constable of Allegan, and was a member of the Elks. Steve also started Swan Creek Productions which was a D.J. music business. Surviving are 2 children, Brad & Jeanine Ross of Allegan and Maggie Ross of North Carolina; 2 grandchildren, Ali & Tommy; 1 sister, Linda & Jim Burdick of Allegan; several neices & nephews, and a close friend Sue Ross. A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 1 pm at the Allegan Area Community Center, 330 Trowbridge St, Allegan. Memorials may be made to the Allegan General Hospital or the Allegan Public Schools.
