of Hopkins, died Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. Mr. Ewing was born September 17, 1950 in Grand Rapids, the son of Duane and Marylou (Van Hill) Ewing. Steven graduated from Hopkins High School in 1969 and was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He worked for over 14 years with Reynolds Metals in Grand Rapids. He loved to spent time outdoors, hunting, fishing and being part of nature. Surviving are his daughter, Alison and Brian Kuchta of Comstock Park, his father and mother, Duane and Marylou Ewing of Hopkins, 1 brother, Byron and Jo Ewing of Monterey Twp., his sister, Colleen and Fred Banks of Allegan, brother- in- law, Earl Collier of Monterey Twp., many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sue Collier. Friends may meet with the family on Saturday, October 9, 2010 from 10 am till service time at 11 am at the Hopkins United Methodist Church. Pastor Linda Burton will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Hopkins Public Library or the South Monterey United Methodist Church. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel.
