Obituary

View Photo Tribute Allegan, MI, went to be with the Lord Monday, February 23, 2004. Mr. Rewalt was born October 30, 1925 in Bradenton, FL, to Elmer and Grace (Morgan) Rewalt, who are deceased. The family moved to Allegan in 1937. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Allegan for about fifty years. Surviving are his wife, Alice (Wright), whom he married on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 1960; 2 children, Debra Branham and Paul (Renee) Rewalt, both of Allegan; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 2 brothers, Merle (Sue) Rewalt of Kalamazoo and Robert (Patricia) Rewalt of Gobles; 1 sister, Joanne Bass of Melbourne, FL. He had been a final inspector for Tru-Heat Corp. of Allegan for 30 years, retiring in January, 1991. If you had ever met Stan, you will remember him for his humor and jokes. His favorite project in life was Screamin' Deamon, a three-wheeled car made from a P-38 fighter plane tank. He went to airplane mechanics school on Long Island, and participated in the Civil Air Patrol for some time. Friends may meet with the family from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the GORDEN FUNERAL RESIDENCE, Allegan Chapel. A memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church. Pastor Joseph Phipps officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
